The Lucerne Valley High School girls basketball team overwhelmed their last two opponents by a combined score of 101 points to 23.
First, on Tuesday, Feb. 10, the Lady Mustangs faced Antelope Valley Christian in an away game. Lucerne Valley crushed their opponent by a score of 55-6.
On Thursday, Feb. 12, the Lady Mustangs again boarded a bus, this time for a challenger closer to home — Victor Valley Christian.
In the first quarter, Lucerne Valley went out for a 12-4 lead. During the second quarter they held Victor Valley to just two points. The Lady Mustangs poured it on for a 19-point third quarter. In the last quarter, their opponent scored seven points, to Lucerne Valley’s five for a final score of 46-17.
Following the two games, the Lady Mustangs were 12-8 overall and 8-2 in Agape League play.
